Focusing on plant-based hallucinations and fantasy, Mirage is an optical phenomenon occupying elements of earth, fire, water and metal; artwork created by naturally occurring primitive reactions. Mirage: A Dual Exhibition by Angela Izzo and Rain Lucien Matheke invites the viewer into an immersive environment, triggering all of the senses to evoke euphoric sensations and trance-like illusions.
Photographer Angela Izzo uses strictly in-camera film techniques to create surreal and poetic images that depict beauty in the mundane. While Rain Lucien Matheke’s work celebrates states of arrested decay and transition utilizing the body, earth and their natural elements
Mirage is dedicated to expanding imagination with elemental materials, vision and techinique.
